Er, where are you? We expected you back an age ago.
Remus is looking a little fussed by the number of times he's said, 'We're expecting more of that, Madam, before the end of the day.'
And not that you can't handle yourself but ... well, we did think you'd only be an hour or so. So I think he's a bit worried about that.
Check in if you're going to be much longer?
Ta, love.

Only, I've found another of those ward stones! I could feel it when I got here this morning. At first it was just a queer feeling, like I'd eaten something off, but then all of a sudden while I was negotiating price with Mosley, there was a terrific surge. It threw Mosley's scales off entirely and all his security alarms sounded. And the bells in a church began pealing. People coming in out of the high street said the street lamps had all just come blazing on and swore the church bells were ringing themselves.
And then Mosley insisted on closing the shop because he's in the local Watch and he was sure whatever it was meant he was needed. There wasn't much to do but agree to stop back, and at any rate, I had a fair idea what was afoot and that it wasn't any attack on any of their local interests, so I borrowed a broom off him and slipped off away from town.
It was definitely surges on the ley, and I was properly careful about the flying. Charlie and I learned a thing or three about what NOT to do when that's happening. Anywiz. I found the thing, and it was giving off mad bursts of magic. Now I know what you meant when you said getting close to the wards made you nauseous. And how!
Anywiz, I wasn't the only one out there, so I couldn't get too close. Wish I'd had a magnocular glass with me. (Can't think why I'd have set off so unprepared!) We'll want to go back soon and have a better look.
And now I'm back at Mosley's, waiting for him to show back up and let me have our order. I think I'll put my head in at the Foul Weather and see if he's not in there, spinning stories about what's happened.
