Well, it's possible. Lily did keep in touch with her, seeing as how their situations were similar. Family integration and mixed household, that sort of thing.
James was pleased for me because he knew I'd always rather fancied her. And believe me, the closer we got to his wedding the more he seemed to want to pair me off with anyone who'd hold still long enough. I think he'd about given up hope for me, despite my assurances that I was far from rubbish in that department. If he'd thought about it for more than five seconds he'd have realised how daft the whole thing was.
At least he never told Lily, at least as far as I know. She'd have been furious.
