I'm sure that it's only a matter of time before someone notices. And the Floo's open now but there, too, they're worse fools than I'd think possible if the Floo Board doesn't have it red-flagged for activity.

Anyway. We can go later, all of us, to have a proper look.

And yeah, of course it's not empty. I mean to say, it's full of furniture and all their old junk. What I mean is, it's not entirely unoccupied.

We seem to have inherited an elf. I dunno why I thought he'd be dead along with her. Oh. And we'll have to do something about her portrait. It, er, doesn't like me very much. Nothing new there, either.

As for how long - I don't know. I've told the elf not to allow anyone entry without my express permission, not to leave the house and not to tell anyone outside of the house anything that goes on there. But someone could get in now, with the key. I think. I'm not sure.

Maybe this was a mistake.

If you come through the floo, and someone DOES get in -- despite the elf, and although I'm sure it would try its best I don't imagine it would offer more than a minor inconvenience to Bellatrix -- would they be able to see where you'd gone via floo? Perhaps you'd better apparate (I know, I'm sorry).
