I've been tromping about as Padfoot for most of the day but I just chanced transforming to catch up on the journals, in case Stint has been spotted anywhere (not here, by the way, it's all clear).

Have you noticed some of the traffic from Rosier, Rookwood and Crouch? Private Messages to 'Toshenka.'

That can only be one person, surely? It's not Karkaroff. And how many others of Eastern European descent were there in Voldemort's close circle?

Arthur, have you heard from Minerva about it? Tell me you've kept Molly from going round the twist that he's back.

Haven't heard from Minerva, but I'm afraid....the coincidence of him popping up now right when it's being announced the Dark Arts position at Hogwarts is being filled...Oh, dear.

This will hit Molly terribly.

There's one crumb of comfort: if it's true, at least he won't be teaching any of mine.

But then there's all the rest of the children who will come within his orbit. Makes one shudder.

Not much. Occasionally I'd hear the name but nothing concrete. There was the one time I thought I saw him but I wasn't going to tap him on the shoulder to confirm that it was him.

I think he may have joined up with Bella when they caught my trail in France. He may even have been the one who killed my neighbour, Gregoire, back in Monte Carlo. It's his specialty, after all.

And I think Arthur's right about why he's back, Frank. Best warn your Neville to grow eyes in the back of his head.

Well, Lucius Malfoy wrote a post this week that mentioned that a new Dark Arts teacher had been hired, that it was the LP's doing. If he's been to court, I suppose we could check the Court blotter.

It's not a question of whether he's been to Court (though I'm guessing of course, he has been) but whether he's the appointee that Malfoy hinted at. I suppose it might say.

Unfortunately, I'm rather a long way from the nearest copy of today's Prophet.
