I'd suspected that Remus had a piece missing from him for a while now. He always seemed to be mourning for something, even when he was in school, and I'd hoped Tonks and Bea would give him what he was looking for.

I didn't imagine it was you until this weekend.

And then everything made a good deal more sense.

And now you know too.

I suppose I convinced myself he couldn't feel the way I did - well, the way I thought I did, back then - and then when it looked like he might have been the traitor I just - it made me hate him, ten times worse I reckon, than I might have done otherwise.

But now ... I wish we had that time back. All those years wasted. Can't be helped. We'll have to make up the loss, I suppose.

I was saying. Dora's fine, we're all working things out together. But I dunno how the others will take it.

We're just a different sort of family, I guess.

It's never perfect in real life, no matter what the storybooks say, so we've all got to find out how we can carve our own way the best we can. And some ways are a bit more roundabout than others.
