First off, fearing for Tonks' safety and happiness is only natural. She's young, she's just recently had a baby, and women tend to feel very fiercely for our own when we see someone so potentially vulnerable.
So I think they're all concerned about Tonks, and they're making it so that if they're concerned for her, then naturally that means they must be angry at you both. It is complete nonsense, of course, but in situations like this, people may feel the need to make it so that they must choose a side.
