Allie.
I'd ask Frank this but I fear he might take it to mean that the three of us aren't fit to go off on a rescue mission.
Er.
Well, has either of you ever forgotten the other's birthday? And if so, how did you make it up to the other? Or how does one.
I've got a chance to see Harry but
And I think the kid probably needs a visit. On the other hand, it's the first time Moony and I would be celebrating his birthday as - well, as whatever we are. A couple, I suppose, though that word sounds completely inadequate. Doesn't account for Dora and Bea very well. A family, then.
I mean, obviously he'll forgive me but I'd like to do something he'd appreciate. Nothing too soppy, though. It's hard to figure out what's proportionate to the offence.
What do you think?

Date: 2012-03-02 09:42 pm (UTC)In terms of your other dilemma, Harry is family too. I can see your wanting to talk to him in person, and it's not his fault nor Remus's that the best time to visit Harry falls on the same weekend as Remus's birthday. And if you can't celebrate Remus's birthday on the actual day, well, a thoughtful small card or gift on the day of and then a larger party when you are back that Bea and Tonks can be a part of would let you plan something really nice instead of throwing it together last minute. And perhaps you could think about getting away, just the two of you, for a proper mini-break? I think Remus truly appreciates is time spent with people he loves over actual things, you know, and I could come in for a hand with Bea and running the shop if that'd be a concern. I think it's less getting him a big fancy gift, and more showing him how much he matters to you that's key. And he does, of course, so that shouldn't be difficult, but making him feel valued and important will certainly help.
And you ought to take special care not to forget next time around, of course.
