And have there been any aftereffects from the memory modifications on her companions?

I'm posting privately mainly not to worry certain types who, er, don't necessarily know what happened yesterday afternoon. Though eventually Alice and Charlie need to be told - I thought there was no sense worrying Molly everyone else, particularly with Hagrid's involvement in saving that girl.

I haven't been up to see Samantha. I did see Richard in the common room today and he only gave me a nod, like he always does, so I don't think anything is amiss there.

I really wish I could have heard Sammy's thoughts, but I've never really heard of a legilimens doing that before (Mummy used to like to make me think she could still read my thoughts while I was off at school, but I don't really know if that was true). I wonder if it would be possible, though? Especially with someone I knew well, who was trying to call out to me so that I could find them, would I be able to do it?

It would be useful for all sorts of reasons.

But then, another part of me is glad I couldn't hear Sammy, especially if the centaurs were doing to her what Richard and Lizzie said they were doing.

It was necessary to send Miss Montgomery along to St Mungo's. I'm not equipped here to give her either the privacy, peace or attention she'll require in order to heal.

Her parents met here with the specialist who came to collect her this afternoon. I rather doubt she'll return to us.

And yes, indeed, Charlie and Alice need to be informed before he considers making another visit to the Centaurs. I gather they're in no mood to treat with wizards at the moment.
